Why prayer says so much...

Prayer is the soul’s admission of insufficiency. It is the language of dependence. It is the heart’s cry for help. It reveals: What we think of God. What we think of ourselves. What we think of what God thinks of us. Who we are looking to. Who and what we are living for.

Prayer is the language of God.

“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” — Romans 8:26
