Join us as we reach the half-way mark in our FASTing and FEASTing as we pray for Revival while walking toward Pentecost.
And even if you cannot fast, you are more than welcome to join the feast!
Join me and my family as we FAST FROM THE DINNER MEAL EVERY WEDNESDAY from now until Pentecost — May 31st — and replace the physical food with the spiritual food of Worship and the Word from 6-7pm on Wednesday evenings. — Doug
“Now, O my God, I pray, let Your eyes be open and Your ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place. Now therefore arise, O Lord God, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your might; let Your priests, O Lord God, be clothed with salvation and let Your godly ones rejoice in what is good. O Lord God, do not turn away the face of Your anointed; remember Your lovingkindness to Your servant David. Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the house. The priests could not enter into the house of the Lord because the glory of the Lord filled the Lord’s house." — 2 Chronicles 6:40–7:2
WHAT IS WORSHIP and the WORD?
We will gather via ZOOM each Wednesday evening from 6-7pm
We will sing some songs and read through a Psalm together
This week is Psalm 116 - the blessings of being fully forgiven
For those that choose to, we will also be fasting from our dinner meal each Wednesday and that is why we gather from 6-7p
Check your email for the ZOOM Invitation!
Why Fast?
Fasting is really about FOCUS. We are turning our mind’s attention and heart’s affection on Him, praising Him for who He is and what He’s done. Like repentance, it is not simply stopping something, BUT REPLACING it with Christ - that we might walk WITH HIM more closely. We are praying for REVIVAL (the Holy Spirit’s POWER) to come, and that is what Pentecost is all about. We are begging God to show us His glory, to conform us into the image of Christ, and to let His Holy Spirit fall down upon us in POWER that we might be His glory-revealers in a world in need of Him.
This is a way that, even when we cannot gather physically, we can GATHER SPIRITUALLY; and TOGETHER, SEEK and SEE His glory. And let us pray that we are able to gather in the next few weeks.
We are praying you will join us and we press into this space of knowing Him more deeply.
MUCH love!
Doug, Kerry and the girls.
When the day of Pentecost [May 31st this year] had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. — Acts 2:1–2
