VOTE! And vote BIBLICALLY!!!

Voting Biblically

Greetings CrossTrain family, we are in the final week of the election process. If you participate in early voting, you needed to have mailed your ballot by November 1, if not you can still turn your early ballot in at a drop box location (see link below). However, if you have not yet voted, here are a few things to consider and some additional resources.

So you call yourself a Christian, does how you vote reflect Voting Biblically? Does your vote Honor God?

The Bible was written for as much today, as when it was actually written 1000s of years ago. We are told in Deuteronomy 4:2 and Proverbs 30:6 not to alter the Word and to keep its commandments. And Isaiah 40:8tells us the Word of God stands forever. Based on those verses, we are to be using the Bible as a basis on how we vote today.

Maybe you vote based on family/friend pressures because they believe in defining what is fair or to avoid negative family dynamics. Judges 17:6 and Deuteronomy 12:8, warn us about doing what is right in our own eyes. The Bible also states there will be division in the household (Luke 12:53) when we choose to follow Christ, so as Christians we should expect family dynamics and still do what is Honoring to God.

Here is brief recap with Bible references for review on a few of the God Honoring topics.

Marriage defined as 1 man & 1 woman: Genesis 2:24, 1 Corinthians 7:2-16, Matthew 19:4-6

Pro-debt reduction: Proverbs 22:7, Habakkuk 2:7

Protecting religious beliefs: Deuteronomy 22:5, Romans 1:24-27

We encourage you to get into your Bible and read the selected verses, especially in a larger context. Look at how each candidate stands on the various positions, which can be found at azvoterguide.com. Here are two additional links on why Your Vote Matters and let your vote Honor God.

Remember to PRAY for the process, and the candidates.

For His glory!
