Jesus has taught some truths that are hard for us to hear in His 'Sermon on the Mount'. That is because what He taught pushes back against the 'I' of us.
What Jesus wants to know is,
"What are you going to DO about it?"
That is what we are going to look at this weekend.
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
— Matthew 7:24
THIS WEEK...
Our gatherings are different than most.
Come and see for yourself!
And bring some food and a friend as we share a meal together afterwards.
We gather to worship, be encouraged, and be equipped for the kingdom Jesus died to bring to earth.
"Come and see..." Jesus through Prayer, the Word, Communion, and Fellowship— the way Christ is meant to be seen in His church.
And bring someone new who needs to be part of this community.

What we DO with what Jesus says matters. It matters to Him and it matters to you. We gather to be reminded of what the Word teaches, and to be equipped to live it out in our lives. This cannot be done alone or only with people of our choosing. That is why the Spirit of God knits together the church Christ died to build. I am looking forward to finishing up this part of Matthew with you this Sunday. Come ready bring something to our conversation.
