Our time for FRamily Worship for Sunday March 29th
Greetings and grace to you Faith Family. I pray this finds you well in every way — especially in your soul! I MISS YOU!!! I hope too that you are finding ways to stay connected to your FRamily even as we are not able to physically gather. If you have not been checking our News Page on our website or our Facebook or Twitter Pages you are missing out on a huge part of the conversation we are having. Please let me know how we can help you in this unique, God-orchestrated, season.
This week’s message is entitled “Diligently Diminishing Distractions” and is part of our “Living Like Christ” resurrection season series. We want to stay focused on Him, His goodness and His glory, His power and His victory, this season and in that space find rest for our wearied and worried souls. We are planning some exciting things to help us still share a version of the Seder and also Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. Stay tuned early this coming week for more information about what your church is providing to make this possible in some fun ways!
One of the things I heard repeatedly about last week’s message is how much the discussion time around the Table Talk Questions added to the message. This is something we have wanted to grow into as a FRamily since the beginning. I want to encourage you to not just be consumers of the Word, but to engage with what is being taught. To that end, we have uploaded wonderful helps to assist you in generating DISCUSSION. You can get the Connecting Points and Leadership Helps, Bulletin and Kid's Connect by clicking here. We don’t want the church videos to just be ‘one more thing we are watching on a screen’ but a tool to invite you into God’s presence and FRamily discussions. Your willingness to lean into this will take your worship time at home to a whole new level.
Another thing we have added this week to improve your at home worship is MUSIC! Our Music Leader, Sean Price, wanted to provide a way for you to participate in worship in song as a FRamily with those you are familiar with even in your own home. This week, Kailee, Abby and Emma pulled together a simple set of four songs and the lyrics are included for you to sing along too. Could not be more simple! You can play this recording by going to our Cornerstone Church AZ YouTube channel. I know your soul will be nourished and your heart prepared to hear His Word.
So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. — Isaiah 55:11
Finally, you can get the MESSAGE audio or video on our Messages Page or you can find in on the Cornerstone Church AZ YouTube channel. I would love to hear stories about how you have been impacted by what you are hearing and discussing. Nothing encourages your pastor’s spirit more! Until we meet again, His grace be with you and may you find peace and power in His presence.
MUCH love!
Pastor Doug
