Audra Griffin here with Family Ministries. I wanted to provide a bit more information about the drive that we are doing for Choices Pregnancy Center here in Glendale.
Adam and I sent a video out earlier in the week and shared briefly on Sunday about this drive. We are so excited to see how the Lord uses our church to meet the needs of moms in the valley!
Here are some items that you can consider donating:
-Diapers (this is the greatest need for Choices right now)
-Clothing (up to 5t and maternity; all clothing needs to be new or in gently used condition)
-Formula (all kinds are needed; must be unopened and not expired)
-Baby items in general (wipes, pacifiers, blankets, etc)
-They also take large items (strollers, car seats, bouncers, etc)
Another great way to meet their needs is looking at their website: choicesaz.com
They have a tab titled Get Involved. If you click on that tab you will find the option for “Ways to Give”. Under that tab at the bottom is their Amazon Wish List! This is a very helpful link that shows exactly what you can purchase and it will be sent directly to them.
If you like the idea of shopping and picking out items yourself that is great! You can bring the items to church on Sunday and we will bring everything to our house to store it. You can also bring things to our home throughout the week. Our address is 9808 W. Lariat Lane, Peoria 85383. Please text me if you are planning to come by so I can provide you with our gate code. We have a great spot next to our door that is not visible from the street where you can drop off items. I will promptly bring in anything left outside our door if I’m not home when you stop by.
Remember the drive ends August 7th! We are so excited to see what the Lord is going to do with this. I ask that you also join us in praying for these mamas and their babies. We pray that while they get their tangible needs met that they would also turn to Christ and find their hope completely in Him!
